Booking and Re-scheduling

Deccan has introduced a NEW Rescheduling / Cancellation Policy- Effective 29th May 2008, for all tickets purchased post 0030 hrs on 29th May 2008.

Please note: The OLD  Rescheduling / Cancellation Policy will apply to Guests who have purchased their tickets prior to 0030 hrs on 29th May 2008.

How do I book Deccan tickets?

Deccan's entire inventory of seats is available online. One can make a booking through any of the following Points of Sale:

  • Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata & Mumbai City Office Counters (Tickets can be purchased up to 2 hours prior to the Scheduled Departure time).
  • Deccan Website (www.airdeccan.net) (Tickets can be purchased up to 2 hours prior to the Scheduled Departure time).
  • All India 24 / 7 call centre at 39008888 (Tickets can be purchased up to 2 hours prior to the Scheduled Departure time).
  • Airport Counters (Tickets can be purchased up to 30 minutes prior to the Scheduled Departure time).
  • Travel Agents across India (Tickets can be purchased up to 2 hours prior to the Scheduled Departure time).

Which browser can I use to view the Deccan website?

Deccan website can only be browsed by Internet Explorer Version 5.5 and above. Other browsers like Mozilla, Netscape etc do not support the website and Deccan tickets cannot be booked through them.

How do I access the Deccan online booking facility?

To access the Deccan online booking facility, you need to log into www.airdeccan.net. Here, on the left side of the page you will find the “Flight Booking” Panel. Use the booking form on this panel, follow the simple instructions given, book your ticket and enjoy the Deccan experience.

 How many Guests can I book on one ticket number?

Only 9 Guests can be booked on a Ticket Number. New Ticket Number’s have to be generated for more than 9 Guests.

To where and at what times, do you fly?

We fly to a multiple number of destinations and in various time slots. To see the flight schedule, please log onto www.airdeccan.net. From the "Flight Information" drop down menu, select "Schedules" by simply clicking on it.
You can also call up our All India 24/7 Call Centre at (city code) 39008888 to check out the flight schedule.

Schedules are subject to change without notice and Deccan assumes no responsibility for making connections.
How do I contact Deccan?

In case of any issues related to reservations, re-scheduling etc please contact our All India 24 / 7 call centre at 39008888 (please prefix your city code if dialing from a mobile).

Where can I find the Terms & Conditions for travel with Deccan?

You will need to log onto www.airdeccan.net. Here Terms & Conditions is available under the "Helpdesk" menu drop down. You can also find Terms & Conditions at the bottom of the page on the red footer bar.

Is there any mandatory information I need to provide while booking a ticket?

It is absolutely essential to provide the Guest’s correct mobile number on the ticket. Deccan sends SMS alerts to mobile numbers of Guests entered while booking, to inform of any changes in schedule. If your ticket is being booked by a travel agent, please ensure that your mobile number is entered instead of the agents. It is also essential to provide an alternate land line number, your email address and valid contact address while booking.

Can I reserve my seat numbers?

Yes, you can call our 24/7 All India Call Centre at 39008888 and Tele Check-in. At this time you can ask for a particular seat number. If it is available, the agent will reserve this seat number against your ticket number (conditions apply). Please refer to out Tele Check-in Policy for further details.

How do I pay for my ticket?

For bookings made online and through the call centre the payment has to be remitted by credit card. At other Points of Sale, payment can be made either via cash or by credit card.

Credit Card Payments

Domestic Credit Cards

Guests who opt to purchase tickets on a credit card are required to carry the following with them and produce the same at the time of check-in:

  • Photo identification, AND
  • The original of the credit card used for the booking, OR
  • A copy of both sides of the credit card used for the booking containing the signature of the credit card holder in the event he/she is not one of the Guests.
In the event the Guest is not able to produce the above at the time of check-in, then Deccan shall, at its discretion, deny boarding without refund except tax (passenger service fee).

International Credit Cards

We are currently accepting International credit cards (Credit Cards issued outside India) on a restricted basis. However as a security measure, in the interest of the international credit card holder, Guests are requested to accept and comply with the following conditions of booking tickets using such cards:

  • One of the Guests mentioned in the ticket must be the holder of the card used for booking the ticket(s).
  • Guests who have booked by using their International credit card (Credit Cards issued outside India) should produce the following documents at the time of check-in:
    • Photo identification.
    • The original of the credit card used for the booking will be matched as per our records.
Deccan reserves the right to deny boarding without refund except tax (the Passenger Service Fee) if the holder of the credit card is not one of the Guests.
What types of credit cards do you accept for payments?

Deccan accepts all Visa and MasterCard 

Can I book using an International Credit Card?

We are currently accepting International credit cards (Credit Cards issued outside India) on a restricted basis. However as a security measure, in the interest of the international credit card holder, Guests are requested to accept and comply with the conditions of booking tickets using such cards. ( see Terms and Conditions on website)

Can I book connecting flights on Deccan?

Deccan does not support the concept of "Connecting flights" as the term is understood. But you can book each sector separately.

Can I block a ticket?

Yes, it is possible to block tickets. One can do that only through our Call Centre for a maximum period of 24 hours within which the payment has to be made either at:

  • Our airport counters or
  • Our certified 'Hold and Pay' travel agents or
  • Our Bangalore and Chennai city office counter.
However, a ticket can only be blocked for travel after 72 hours.
Is my credit card and personal information protected when I book over the Internet?

The Deccan website is completely secure and is endorsed by Verisign. All the confidential payment details of our Guests are encrypted and stored so as to ensure maximum security.

What and where is the credit card / debit card CVV number?

The CVV number is an anti-fraud security feature that helps in verifying whether you have your own credit card.

For Visa / Mastercard, the 3 digit CVV number is printed on the back of the card immediately after the cards account number.

When do I receive the ticket for the flight which I have booked?

Deccan issues only e-tickets instead of conventional tickets which are booked online at all Points of Sale. These e-tickets once booked online, can be printed on a normal A4 paper and produced at the airport counter along with a valid photo identity card. When a booking is made, a ticket number for each ticket is generated which is the unique identification for the ticket.

Do I get a receipt for the money I have paid for my ticket?

The email confirmation which you get at the time of booking is considered to be a valid receipt for the payment made. No separate receipt is issued.

What if while making the payment for the ticket, my card gets debited and the internet connection disconnects before generating the ticket number?

In such a case please contact our 24 / 7 call centre at 39008888 with complete details pertaining to your travel. Incase the Ticket Number has been generated, the call centre will inform you of the same and you can travel on that Ticket Number. However, if the Ticket Number has not been generated the debited amount will roll back to your credit card within 14 working days time.

Why is the website slow sometimes?

Whenever Deccan opens bookings there is heavy traffic on the website. The number of hits received by the website goes up manifold and therefore the website becomes slow. To counter this problem it would be a good idea to try logging in at non-peak hours when the traffic is not too much. Deccan has several other Points of Sale which are listed above where tickets can be purchased in such circumstances.

Why is the Call Centre inaccessible sometimes?

There could be times when there is heavy traffic at our Call Centre. The number of calls received by the call centre goes up manifold sometimes and therefore when you try to call up, you may find that there could be a long waiting period before an agent comes on line. Deccan has several other Points of Sale which are listed above where tickets can be purchased in such circumstances.

How do I get my ticket, if I have not printed it out during booking but have the ticket number?

Deccan tickets can be collected from the airport reservation counter against valid Ticket Number's and a valid photo identity card for verification. After collection of the ticket, all Guests have to proceed to the check-in counter.

What do I do if I need to book a large number of tickets, say for 30 Guests?

Bookings for more than 20 Guests can be made through our special group bookings facility. Incase you wish to book tickets for a group, please email all details to groupfares@airdeccan.net. On receipt of the email our Reservation Agents will contact you with the applicable fares and other details.

Can I purchase an Open Deccan Ticket?

No. All the chosen sectors and journeys have to be booked and paid for at the same time.

How many hours prior to flight departure can I book an Deccan ticket?

Bookings at the airport counters can be made up to 1 hour prior to flight departure. Through other Points of Sale booking can be made up to 2 hours prior to flight departure.

  Rescheduling

Can I reschedule my ticket?

Yes, rescheduling of the ticket is possible ahead of 4 hours prior to flight departure.

No change is possible within 4 hours of flight departure.

The Guest is allowed to modify the flight, the sector, the route and the date of travel on his / her ticket along with payment of a rescheduling fee and the fare difference.

Once the ticket has been issued, the name of the Guest cannot be changed.

Rescheduling fee of Rs. 750/- per Guest/ per sector along with the fare difference will be charged for any postponements / advancements, for all Guest tickets.

Since our fares are dynamic, the differential fare will be collected as below:-

  • If the applicable fare (basic and surcharge) is more than the current fare, the difference amount will be charged to the Guest along with a Rescheduling Fee of Rs.750/- for either advancement / postponement of the flight.
  • If the applicable fare (basic and surcharge) is less than the current fare, the difference amount WILL NOT BE REFUNDED to the Guest. The Guest will need to pay a Rescheduling Fee of Rs.750/- for either advancement / postponement of the flight.

Rescheduling through the Deccan Website or Travel Agent allows the Guest to do a date/flight change only.

If the Guest needs to reschedule the Sector or reschedule more than one Guest on a single guest ticket , the same can be done by calling the Deccan 24/7 Call Centre at 39008888 ( Prefix city code) or by visiting the nearest Deccan Airport ticketing Counter/ City office.

Is there any fee involved in rescheduling?

Rescheduling fee of Rs. 750/- per Guest/ per sector along with the fare difference will be charged for any postponements / advancements, for all Guest tickets.

How many hours prior to flight departure, can I reschedule my ticket?

Rescheduling of tickets is only possible 4 hours prior to flight departure. No change is possible within 4 hours of flight departure.

Where can I reschedule my ticket?

Tickets purchased at all Points of Sale can be rescheduled / cancelled at the Deccan Call Centre / Airport reservation counters. The refund will however be rolled back to the Point of Sale.

What happens if Deccan changes the flight time for that day?

Flight timings are subject to change, owing to operational issues. Guests are advised to call our 24/7 All India Call Centre at 39008888 (prefix city code) for updates on flight departure information 4 hours prior to the scheduled departure.

How does Deccan inform the Guests about any changes to the flight schedule?

Incase of a pre-determined operational delay, Deccan sends out SMS updates to Guests on flight schedule information.

What happens if the flight is delayed or cancelled due to weather related disruptions?

Incase of a delay of over 2 hours or a flight cancellation, Guests have the option to reschedule their journey or to cancel their reservation and avail of a full refund.

 

If I opt for the option of Full Refund, how and from where do I collect it?

Refunds would need to be collected from the Point of Sale. Incase of a web booking / Call Centre booking through a credit card, the refund amount will be rolled back to the card account, if the ticket is cancelled. If the ticket has been booked through a Credit Voucher, the refund will roll back to the same voucher and can be utilized for travel within 180 days from the original date of issue of this voucher.
