Can I check-in online on my Deccan flight? |

No, Deccan does not have the facility for on-line check-in yet. |

How do I know that my flight is on time? |
|
 |
If a flight is postponed, advanced or cancelled, Deccan sends a SMS to the mobile number provided at
the time of booking. Guests are requested to contact
our All India 24 / 7 Call Centre at 080 39008888 with
relevant details to find out whether the flight is on
time or not. |

What time do I need to get to the airport? |

Deccan check-in counters open 2 hours prior
to scheduled flight departure. X-Ray closes 40 minutes
prior to flight departure and the Check-In counter closes
strictly 30 minutes prior to flight departure. Guests
need to come to the Airport well in time to comply with
these deadlines. Guests who do not comply with the
check-in deadline and report late are deemed as 'no-show'
Guests and are denied boarding. |

Do I need to be at the check-in counter
on time even if my flight is delayed? |

If the flight has been delayed, you need to be at the
check-in counter 2 hours prior to the new departure
time. |

What documents do I need to produce at the
airport? |
|
 |
At the airport, you will need to your e-ticket and
a photo identification card to check-in. If you are
a special needs Guest:
- For pregnant women - a "Fit to travel by Air" certificate
attested by a certified Gynaecologist.
- For Guests with ill health - a "Fit to travel
by Air" certificate attested by a certified medical
practitioner.
- For International credit card bookings - The original
Credit card used for booking needs to be carried, which
will be verified at Check in.

What do I need to do when I arrive at the
airport? |

As soon as you arrive at the airport, you will need
to get your checked-in baggage x-rayed. Ensure that
the "Security Checked" tag is put on each bag.
After this you will need to go to the check in counter
and proceed with the check-in formalities. Once this
is done wait for the security check announcement.
Once the announcement is made, proceed to the security
check. You will need to show your Boarding pass at the
gate for verification. Once through you will need to
place ALL YOUR HAND BAGGAGE to be x-rayed. You will
need to then pass through a metal detector gate. After
which the airport security personnel will check you
with a hand-held security wand.
After this collect your belongings from the other
side of the x-ray belt and wait for the boarding announcement. |

Boarding closes 20 minutes prior to flight departure.
Deccan may or may not make any announcements
at the Airport regarding boarding. We reserve the right
to deny boarding and cancel your reservation without
refund if you do not meet the Boarding Deadline. |

What do I need to do at the check-in counter? |

 |
At the check-in counter, you will need to show your
e-ticket and photo identification. Pregnant women and
persons who are not in good health will need to show
their "Fit to travel by Air " certificates attested
by a certified medical practitioner.Guests who have booked their tickets using an International Credit Card will need to show the same card at the check-in counter. |

Do large groups of Guests have a different
check-in deadline? |

Groups of 10 Guests and above, need to check in
1.5 hours (90 minutes) before the scheduled departure
of the flight. |

Can I ask for a specific seat or seat number
at the check-in counter? |

 |
Deccan allocates seat numbers across most
sectors. There are, however, some flights wherein seat
numbers are not allocated. |
 |
Is there a deadline for the Security Check
after check-in? |
|
 |
As boarding for a flight closes 20 minutes before flight
departure, it is recommended that you go for the Security
Check as soon as it is announced, as there may be a
queue for the same. |

Which departure terminal should I go to? |
|
 |

departure terminal for airports which have more than
one departure terminal. |

If the flight is delayed, does Deccan provide me with any refreshments? |
|
 |
Deccan does not provide for any refreshments/
accommodation/ local transportation in the event of
a flight delay. |

What is the Deccan boarding procedure? |
|
 |
After boarding is announced, Guests would need
to form a queue at the boarding gate, wherein the boarding
passes will be verified, before a Guest proceeds
to the aircraft. At times a secondary security check
may be conducted, outside the security lounge. |
 |
What happens if I miss the flight after
check-in? |
|
 |
A person who does not report in time for boarding,
will be taken as a "Gate No Show". Boarding will be
denied without refund, for Guests who do not report
at the boarding gate 20 minutes prior to the departure. |
 |
Does Deccan allow through check-in? |
|
 |
Deccan does not allow through check-in either
for Guests or for baggage. |
 |
If I have an Deccan connecting
flight on the same day, what should be the time gap between
the arrival of the first flight and the departure of the
connecting flight? |
|
 |
In case Guests have an Deccan connecting
or return flight on the same day, there has to be a
minimum gap of 2 hours between the arrival of the onward
flight and departure of the return or connecting Deccan flight. |
 |
What happens in case I have a connecting
flight after an Deccan flight and the Deccan flight gets delayed? |
|
 |
Deccan is strictly a 'point to point' airline
and does not take any obligation or responsibility for
transfer of Guests or their baggage to other flights,
whether operated by Deccan or any other carrier.
Deccan does not provide for accommodation,
refreshments nor does it provide or arrange for alternate
mode of travel. |
 |
What happens in case of weather related
flight disruptions? |
|
 |
For certain months in the year especially Mid-December
and Mid-January, due to poor visibility, dense fog and
bad weather in North India some flights may get cancelled,
re-scheduled, indefinitely delayed or diverted to other
airfields. These circumstances are completely beyond
the control of the airline and are governed by relevant
regulatory authorities.
In such cases Deccan's responsibility is
restricted to transporting the Guest only to the
destination booked. The airline is not liable to provide
alternate transport, accommodation or refreshments at
any point in time and the Guests have to make their
own arrangements.
